Bio
I received my Ph.D. from the CS Department at KAIST in summer 2011. My advisor is Sue Moon. In the autumn of 2007, I was visiting Telefónica I+D at Barcelona as an Intern.
My research interests are in the online social network analysis using large-scale data. More specifically, I focus on the multi-level analysis, which are an individual level, a dyad level, a community level, and an entire network level. Each level has its own inherent, but complementary, resolution to capture what happens in it and guides us to understand the complex dynamics across multiple levels as a combination of phenomena.
My recent work are analyzing the structure and the dynamics of Twitter. e.g. “What is Twitter, a social network or news media?” (WWW10), and “Fragile Online Relationship: A First Look at Unfollow Dynamics in Twitter” (CHI11). Please visit a full list of my publications for more info.
Telefoinca Research, Barcelona is my next workplace.
